There's nothing like hitting the bookstore and browsing for hours, and believe me, I do it. But now, unless it's on the sales shelves, I come home and hit the online stores to see what they have for me.
Here's a couple of my favorite sites:
Barnes and Noble- Their bargain section is awesome. And bonus! Spend 25 dollars and you get free shipping. I've never waited more than three days for my books to arrive.
Bookcloseouts.com- Not as easily navigable as amazon or BN, it's still pretty easy to search, and the books are crazy inexpensive. Shipping gets cheaper the more you spend, and they frequently have codes to save $5.00 off of $35.00. There's no guarantee you'll find what you're looking for, but I got the new Cecelia Ahern for $4.00 before it was even released stateside (their warehouse is in Canada). The only other drawback is there is no guarantee that you'll get the book (if you look at the description of the book, it will say the quantity they have in stock, and it's first come, first served), if you don't get it, the cost will be deducted from total when books are shipped
Betterworldbooks.com- For those who don't mind used books, the proceeds of all sales go toward the charity noted under the title you choose. And it's free shipping! Most of the books are between $3.00 and $7.00.
Know any other spots for inexpensive books?

I get most of my books through Paperback Swap these days, but when Bookcloseouts has one of their crazy sales, I can't resist. I just got 9 books (mostly hardcover) there for $25!
Thanks for the tips, Holly. I'm a book hoarder myself!
Oh thanks Cathy! I'm going to see what Paperback Swap is all about, I'm running out of room.
I haven't heard of Betterworldbooks before, but I love BookCloseouts!
When I can't find it on Bookmooch and/or I don't want to wait to have it start gathering dust on my TBR shelf, I use dealoz.com. It will show you where the cheapest copy of the book can be bought online.
