Betrayed

The second in the House of Night series follows our spectacular young vampire fledgling Zoey as she continues to discover that things aren't always as they seem.

The change from human to vampire is happening quickly for fledgling Zoey. She has been hand picked by the vampire goddess and put on a special secret mission. So secret in fact, that she hasn't totally figured it all out yet.

When teenagers from Zoeys past start disappearing, and dead fledglings start appearing in ghostly forms, Zoey puts two and two together and believes that the two may be linked. What she finds out is more awful than she ever could have imagined. Her trust is tested with everyone she knows, and even the people she least expected to be untrustworthy.

I like this series a lot. I took quite a lot of time reading this one, not sure why, it was a good book. I think it could have used a bit more action and a bit less angst, but what can I expect from a YA pick?

As I said before with the Marked review, the series website is outstanding. If you are a fan of the series, or thinking about starting the series, visit the website. Quite possibly one of the best series websites I have ever seen!
