I absolutely tore through this book. I started out reading not knowing very much about it, and from the first page I was pulled into the book and had a hard time putting it down.

The cover art is beautiful, and very indicative of the type of story held within. I always love when the cover art of a book really speaks to what is held within. In this case the girl would be our main character, tortured, dark and beautiful.

We open with Luce, short for Lucinda, entering her first day in reform school. It is unknown what act led her to being placed in reform school, but slowly the puzzle comes together. She isn't the typical reform school brat with a police record a mile long, but she has gotten into some trouble, without meaning to of course.

Early on our author introduces the rest of the novels dream team. Two very different boys that have both caught the eye of Luce. One seems to be a bit of a bad boy, and the other seems to be the good guy. However, things are not always as they seem, and this novel proves that fact.

Filled to the brim with unrequited love and fallen angels, this young adult supernatural novel is a well written and exciting start to what looks to be a promising series. If you liked "Hush, Hush" you will love this one.

Sounds really good. This one is going on my to-read list! (Hush-Hush is already on there.)

This book didn't really do it for me, unfortunately! I loved the premise but thought the book was way too much on the surface.
