Another great Jill Mansell novel! I've yet to read a book of hers where the characters don't just pop off the page. This book did not miss the mark. Thanks to Danielle @ Sourcebooks, I got my hands on this to review. I love the British invasion!
Poppy is out on her hen night the night before her wedding, being the designated driver so she doesn't have a hangover on her wedding day. Her sobriety does not cure her of the embarrassing fall, which triggers a domino effect on her love life. Caught and taken care of by a handsome man she's never before met, her stomach does flips it's never done for her fiancee. The feeling is mutual because he tells her he's never felt this way and tells her he'll be waiting at a nearby restaurant for her that night. The next morning she calls off her wedding, and in a cruel slip of tongue her fiancee reveals her dad is not her father. Instead of the anguish intended, this revelation brings about relief and a chance to find her real father. Off Poppy heads to London to see if she can track him down and embark on a new life.
This book was a breeze to read, and so much fun. Ms. Mansell brings such a vitality to all characters, main and supporting alike. The plot was interesting, and the interactions between the characters were downright hilarious. If you haven't read any of her novels yet, this is a perfect one to start!

Sounds really interesting. This is the 2nd time I've read high praise for this author, I'll have to check her out.
