My biggest bone to pick with New Moon is the cover of my copy. I was not thinking when I picked them up at Target the weekend after Thanksgiving. They were on sale so I grabbed blindly. I got the movie tie in edition of only this book and I LOVE the cover to the left. When I went to look, none of that cover were available.
Publishers synopsis:
Stephenie Meyer delivers another irresistible combination of romance and suspense with a supernatural twist. The "star-crossed" lovers theme continues as Bella and Edward find themselves facing new obstacles, including a devastating separation, the mysterious appearance of dangerous wolves roaming the forest in Forks, a terrifying threat of
revenge from a female vampire and a deliciously sinister encounter with Italy's reigning royal family of vampires, the Volturi. Passionate,
riveting, and full of surprising twists and turns, this vampire love saga captures the struggle between defying our instincts and satisfying
our desires. This is a love story with bite.
I will say, I love the blurbs on the back of these books. They're so vague that they entice me to read more. I enjoyed this more than Twilight and I'm not sure if it's because I find Jacob more endearing than Edward or the plot line flowed more easily and actively for me this time around. Ms. Meyer takes teen angst and puppy love to incredible heights, but it works. I am definitely not Team Jacob for Bella after reading this if only because he loves her so purely in a way that she can't possibly reciprocate. It almost seems unfair because his love does seem to be every bit as strong as Edward's. Why should he fall for someone so hard whose heart isn't hers to give?

I would only say I'm team Jacob because I enjoy the depth of his character more than Edward. And I do agree with you that his love is much more pure and he loves Bella in a way that Edward doesn't. and after the way Bella acted in New Moon, she doesn't deserve Jacob's love. I enjoyed your review. thanks!
