As we already know Katherine Heigl is playing Stephanie Plum. Some hate that casting choice, and some are excited about. What we are all wondering though is who will play Ranger and Morelli? Lets cast this movie!
RANGER
I pick Edgar Ramirez for Ranger. He was in Domino with Kiera Knightly as a bounty hunter, and I always saw him as ranger from that point on. I know The Rock has been a popular choice, but I would HATE that!
Morelli
Jeffrey Dean Morgan would be totally dreamy as Morelli. It might even make me switch to team Morelli!

I think I am one of the few people who haven't read a single Stephanie Plum book. I guess I better read One for the Money before the movie comes out. My sister really enjoys the books and we have similar taste in books so I might like it.

Josh Duhamel as Morelli. I like Jeffrey Dean Morgan - but maybe see him more as Ranger. Or Gerard Butler as Ranger. Or even Benjamin Bratt although he's too old. Definitely Betty White as Grandma Mazur. Or Cloris Leachman.
I'd like to see Paul Walker play Morelli. He's HOT. I'd also like to see Queen Latifah play Lula. She could totally pull off the spandex/leopard print get-up. I have a picture of Ranger in my head and I can't put a face to it.
Interesting reading the suggestions. Katherine has famously worked with Jeffrey Dean Morgan before on Grey's Anatomy and they are good friends. Her most recently released movie was with Gerard Butler (The Ugly Truth) and she finished filming (Life As We Know It) with Josh Duhamel late last year. So...though they are good choices..do you think any of those three are unlikely to feature with her again so soon? Then again...maybe they will because they have worked together and got on really well by all accounts.
OK I love some of everyone's suggestions...but its like no one gets the concept that Morelli is full blood Italian stallion and Ranger is fricken Cuban or something so this pick for really white people are just not going to cut it for full embodiment of the characters. I am terrified to see how Heigl is going to fill those Plum shoes. This could all end very badly
I would have cast alyssa milano as stephanie, Ellen Dow (the old lady from the wedding singer) as grandma, snookie as connie, raoul bova as morelli, terry crews as tank, niecy nash as lula...and I have not found a ranger yet :(
I think a good Morelli would be Josh Duhamel, and a good ranger would be Adam Rodriguez if he got a little more buff and grew out his hair. I picture Stephanie as more of Jennifer Esposito, Joe Pantoliano as Vinnie, Joe Mantegna as the father, Bettty White as the grandma of course, Susan Sarandon as the mother. Gabourey Sidibe as Lula.
Sandra Bullock, The Rock or Jimmy Smits and Benjamin Bratt as Morelli. I don't care if they are too old--the movies are always a little off from the books. Makeup can make them look younger. I am so disappointed Sandra isn't in this!
I think Sandy Bullock would have been a better choice,though I love Catherine H. Jeffry D.Stanton or Dean Cain as Morelli, Vin Diesel as Ranger, Sherry from The View is a great choice for Lula, Betty White as Granny, for the future episodes Owen Wilson would make a great Mooner. Anxious toi see this casting & movie.

Eddie Cibrian as Morelli. Jeffrey Dean Morgan is too old and not swoon worthy.

I just read my People Magazine and found the perfect Joe Morelli....Joe Manganiello!!! Yummy!
