OMG, I could not be more excited about this! Well, I probably could because I'm just not sure if Reese Witherspoon is right for the role, and Robert Pattinson as Jacob Jankowski? Well, I wanted Ryan Goslin for it, but I'm hopeful this could be good though he's not what I envision at all for Jacob Jankowski.
One of my favorite books was optioned for a movie a few years back, and filming has started! Production is under way on Water for Elephants! If only Holly still worked on films *grumble, grumble*

Reese Witherspoon is Marlena, Jacob's married object of affection and the stunning horse trainer.
Robert Pattinson is Jacob Jankowsi, heartbroken student who leaves school before his final exams to follow in his father's footsteps as a kindhearted veterinarian upon finding out his parents were killed in a car accident. He runs away and joins the circus, and falls for Marlena and for Rosie, an elephant who's been treated cruelly since her arrival at this circus.(This is Robert on Ellen after cutting off his hair to begin filming Water for Elephants. I may be convinced yet.)
Richard La Gravenese is the screenwriter, adapting Sara Gruen's novel. He also adapted P.S. I Love You which was pretty true to book so I'm excited.
Anyone else excited for this?
